Episode 12: Dancing with Fear

On this episode, join the sisters as they talk about where fear stems from and how they overcome their fear. The amygdala is the control center for our fear located in our brain. To overcome this fear we need to realize that we cannot eliminate it, but use it as a compass. To face fear you need to be prepared. The sisters share their own personal fears and what they do to cope with these fears.

  • From Ted Talk: fear comes from the Amygdala (located in the brainstem)

  • Amygdala keeps us alive by generating fear to keep us from danger

  • 4 triggers that create fear: uncertainty, attention, change, and struggle

  • We can't eliminate fear, it is apart of us, but we can choose to use it as a compass to direct us through challenges

  • When facing fear, you need to be prepared
